Not all Tail Waggers have the same needs. This list should be tailored to the needs of your Tail Wagger. Your adoption team is happy to help you prepare for their arrival and the days ahead.

Here is a list of items you may want to consider:

• Food and water bowls (stainless steel is a favorite)

• Dry food and perhaps canned too (ask us which kind your dog has been eating for a smooth transition)

• Adjustable collar

• 4 to 6-foot leash

• ID tag with your phone number

• Hard plastic carrier and/or foldable metal crate

• Bed (consider using a bed that fits inside the crate)

• Dog shampoo/conditioner

• Nail clippers

• Canine toothbrush and toothpaste

• Brush or comb (depends on your dog’s coat length and type)

• Enzymatic odor neutralizer (pet accident cleaner)

• Biodegradable poop baggies and/or pooper scooper

• Absorbent house-training pads

• Bitter spray (to prevent unwanted chewing)

• Variety of toys (a ball, rope, chew toy and puzzle toy are good starts)

• Variety of treats (such as small biscuits, training treats, etc.)

• Baby gate(s) – if needed
