SCTW ADOPTION PROCESS

Start by filling out the online adoption application to get the process started.

We will contact you within 72 hours to schedule a preliminary phone-screening to discuss what type of Tail Wagger you are looking to add to your family.

We will schedule a “Meet & Greet” to ensure we have a perfect match for your family, and will discuss what the optimal transition will look like for you and our Tail Wagger.

Once a match has been made, we will come to your home for a "Home Check"where we will verify where our Tail Wagger will sleep, play, eat, etc. and that the environment is safe overall.

When the perfect match is made, we will sit down to complete and sign our

adoption contract packet. We ask for a $350.00 donation. (Your donation is fully tax-deductible and helps offset our veterinary costs, feeding, foster home expenses, supplies and general overhead.)

Now that steps one through five are complete, you are now a part of the Tail Wagger family and we will make sure to keep in touch in order to be a support system for the entire family!

If things change and you can no longer care for your dog, we will always take them back with open arms. Our motto is “Once a Tail Wagger, ALWAYS a Tail Wagger!”
